PERFORMANCES
... eight to twelve musicians:  a funky horn section, organ, keys, guitars, bass, Dr. T on vocals, and up to four drummer-percussionists! From front porches and clubs to halls, community stages, and outdoor venues, we bring African grooves to your ears and your shoes (barefoot dancing is also permissible).

INFORMANCES
... think of them as engaging workshops (sometimes called a 'master-class') and shared music-making with your students, community group, ensemble, choir members, conference participants... These informances are tailored to the needs of your audience and can feature shared music-making, storytelling that highlights the musical traditions, culture, and history of the musics and its performers, creators, and composers. 

We share traditional and current selections, presented with interactive components that involve the audience. We can demonstrate the rhythms and teach sing-along parts with musical and conversational deep dives on:

• the Rhythms of Africa,

• performing mixed meter and polyrhythmic music,
  ...  and much more.

CLASSROOM PRESENTATIONS
... for Middle School, High School, and college classrooms including Social Studies, Geography, Music, etc., or university courses in African History, Afro-American studies, etc.
